Authenticity and Freedom Support Group
Rebecca Saxon offers Spiritual Life Coaching and Counseling to private clients and is starting a support group in January that will teach material on how to unmask and live our most authentic life. The group, Unmask: Know, Love and Trust Your True Self, will begin January 6.
“In a busy world that is pulling everyone in many directions, how often do you do what is expected of you at the expense of your authentic self?” asks Saxon. “People often don’t realize how unconsciously they are walking through their lives, wearing a mask, then wonder why they feel so discontent. The key to living a fulfilling life is through truly knowing yourself. Being curious, spending time in meditation or other spiritual practices, as well as embracing feelings and emotions helps with this. Secondly, begin to love yourself. To love is to give attention to, to listen to, to cherish. Finally, we must come to trust that inner voice and begin to give it expression in the world.”
This process is culminated by “unmasking”, according to Saxon. This describes the final steps in alignment with our most essential selves. “Once we find out who we really are, we begin dropping automatic, outworn parts of our personality that no longer fit us. These are the habits, behaviors and beliefs we took on as children that are not in alignment with our deepest values as adults. This process brings more vitality into the body and mind, as well as increased intimacy in our relationships, and with life as a whole. It is truly transformational work that can change the direction of your life for the better.”
