Love to Ride and Tucson Bike More Challenge

Living Streets Alliance, of Tucson, has launched Love to Ride, an online platform and smartphone app that makes it easy and fun for existing bicycle riders to encourage their friends, co-workers and community to ride. While the Love to Ride program will be active all year, the real excitement happens during the Tucson Bike More Challenge, which runs from October 30 to November 30. The free challenge is open to any and all residents of Pima County or anyone who works in the area, and registration is open now at LoveToRide.net/Tucson.

Once someone registers with Love to Ride, they create a profile, begin recording bike rides and become eligible for monthly prize drawings each month they ride. Anyone who logs a ride of at least 10 minutes is eligible to win prizes, such as lights, helmets, locks, gear, bike tune-ups, movie tickets, restaurant gift certificates, solar chargers and bicycles.

The mission of Living Streets Alliance is to “promote healthy communities by empowering people to transform our streets into vibrant places for walking, bicycling, socializing and play”. LSA is improving access to active modes of transportation in the region through outreach, education, advocacy and research.
