Sacred Space director Teresa Cowan Jones is an ordained minister who serves as Executive Director of the Breakthrough Leadership Institute, a transformational leadership and community development initiative. As such, she directs Sacred Space, a local secular and interfaith project for consciousness development. She is also an executive and personal coach, spiritual director, and owner of TC Jones Coaching, a business she started in 2001.

“Most people need live support to grow, unite across traditional divides and change habits for the purpose of a collaborative, sustainable society. Sacred Space provides a safe and informed space to do that as a community—a space to experience both stillness and exuberance, outside of institutional religion,” explains Jones. She is faculty for the Charter for Compassion’s Compassion Education Institute, Hesychia School for Spiritual Direction and the Center for Integrative Medicine; Founder/Director of The Compassion Coalition; a coach for the Center for Progressive Renewal; a fellow in the Public Voices Fellowship; and a keynote speaker.

Author of over 100 tools for effectiveness, Jones also has advanced training in Executive Coaching, and has served as coach and faculty of the Center for Progressive Leadership, a national nonpartisan leadership organization developing high-potential political leaders who can affect policy-making.
