Watsu and Wellness, New Resource to the Tucson Community
Physical Therapist Jean Read, owner of Watsu and Wellness, has relocated to Tucson. She brought with her a wide variety of treatment skills that she has gained over her 29 years as a physical therapist. Her skills and modalities include: craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, dry needling, total motion release, pain neutralizing technique, hot stone myofascial release and more. Read is offering 20 percent off an initial visit to her during the month of February.
“I believe that the body has an innate ability to heal, repair and restore itself when given the opportunity to do so. However, with the environmental, societal, familial and personal stresses that we place on ourselves, chronic tension and stress takes its toll on the health of the body,” explains Read. “Complicate that with an injury, car accident or emotional trauma and health tends to take a nose dive. Brain fog, fatigue, pain, digestive issues, headaches, anxiety, poor sleep habits and more begin to set in and medication doesn’t seem to fix the problems. The fight and flight systems get turned on high and we can’t seem to shut it off and find that inner calm and peace we used to experience.”
Through her variety of skills and techniques, Read has helped many to reach that inner state of well-being, reset the system to a place of calm and significantly reduce pain and structural dysfunction in the body. Clients have reported improvements in hearing, vision, alignment of teeth and TMJ, pain relief, sleep, swallow, digestion, PTSD and more. Read is currently studying functional nutrition and will be adding that to her other skills to fortify, nourish and replenish the body.
