Lovin’ Spoonfuls Celebrates 10 Years of Plant-based Food Service to Tucson

Sunny Anne Holliday, owner of Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a vegan restaurant in Tucson, is celebrating 10 years of 100 percent plant-based meals with the release of her cookbook, called Lovin’ Spoonfuls at Home.

“Most of my customers aren’t even vegetarian,” says Holliday, a committed vegan for 26 years. “They just come because they want to eat more healthfully, and of course, they like the food. ‘This tastes great,’ they will tell me. ‘Now, when are you coming out with a cookbook?’”

Every recipe in the book includes a full-page color photo, taken by Holliday herself. She also claims to have eaten each dish after its photo shoot. The books are available at the restaurant as well as through Amazon.com.

Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ most popular salad dressing, Sesame Dijon, is due to appear shortly on the shelves at Whole Foods. “It’s pretty exciting,” says Holliday, who has been working with Whole Foods for over two years. “We’re hoping to get that out in time for the holidays.”
