Designed especially for those that have always felt a yearning to explore and express themselves through color, line or form, Heart to Hand is the name of a series of visual arts workshops and classes offered by teaching artist Carolyn King in the coming year.

The workshops combine basic principles of visual arts with conscious, mindful, spiritually-oriented practice. The common thread between visual arts and many forms of spiritual practice is to cultivate one’s ability to observe. Each workshop session will guide participants in a process of becoming familiar and comfortable with both acquiring new skills with art materials and restructuring relationship with any “inner voices” that may have interfered with the ability to dive into creative play in the past.

King’s background includes more than 30 years of combined studio, spiritual and art teaching practice. She holds a degree in Arts & Consciousness from John F. Kennedy University and has worked with students of all ages and abilities both in the U. S. and Mexico.
