A Creative Journey in Glass

Create a one-of-a-kind art piece this summer at Robin Cannell Baker’s glass studio, ArtStudio7. Baker’s glass studio is bursting with color and artistic energy, providing a creative space for students and artists. Students will learn to use fusable glass to create a unique piece of art, handmade gift or treasure to keep for years to come, in a “process that is nurturing and uplifting to the creative spirit”.

Baker provides instruction to get students started and is there to help prepare the piece for completion in the kiln. In a couple of hours, attendees learn how to cut the glass into desired shapes and glue the piece together. Once the glue is set, your piece will be placed in the kiln to be fused. Firing times vary from 18 to 36 hours, and artists will be contacted when finished artwork is ready to pick up.

ArtStudio7 is a great venue for birthday or family gatherings, or for a few friends to take a class together. Classes are held most Sundays, from 2 to 5 p.m., Thursdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and are also flexible by appointment. Space is limited. Call to reserve a spot.
