SARSEF Encourages Citizens to Make Decisions Based on Evidence

Jonathan Rothschild

SARSEF (Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation) will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m., March 2. SARSEF invites the public to mingle with others in the community that care about Arizona’s students and science. At the open house, Mayor Rothschild will proclaim March as the “Month of Scientific Thinking”, in honor of SARSEF’s efforts for the past 62 years, and events throughout the coming months.

SARSEF CEO, Kathleen A. Bethel states, “Given our current political environment, it is more important than ever that our students here in Southern Arizona learn how to gather the facts, analyze data and form conclusions that are evidence-based. SARSEF helps 95,000 students each year develop a skill that will serve them well as they become a part of our future work force and the voting public.”
