TherapyAqua Celebrates Worldwide Aquathon Day

To celebrate the 7th annual Worldwide Aquathon Day, bringing awareness to the benefits of water fitness for people of all ages and abilities, TherapyAqua is hosting a free event at the Tucson JCC from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., November 9. The public is invited to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the pool.

Enjoy activities in and out of the water, including upbeat oldies music by TonyG’s DJ Dan with karaoke, relay events, a coloring contest, games, a mermaid swim lane, mermaid makeup table and gift card prizes. Beautiful t-shirts, printed by Aladdin Graphics, will be sold at the Aquathon for $20 each to fundraise for special needs aquatics therapy equipment.

Sponsors and donors include: Natural Grocers, Kurt Automotive, Dr. Michael LaCorte Pediatric Dentistry, Peter Piper Pizza, My Martial Arts Louis DeSanto and other local Tucson businesses. The day will be featuring fitness coaches Colin Easom, Mike Lorimer, Pam Crocco, Hannah Gomez, Elaine Garcia and Connie Harrison Lagerhausen, who will showcase many aquatic exercises including Aqua Cardio, Aqua Rhythms, Water Yoga, Cross H2O, GlideFit Boards, Aqua Stretch and more.
