POSTPONED: Sons of Orpheus Hosts 29th Annual Gala Spring Concert Series

NOTE: This event has been postponed.

Sons of Orpheus, The Male Choir of Tucson, “Tucson’s Ambassadors of Song” by Mayoral Proclamation, has announced it 29th Annual Gala Spring Concert Series, with shows throughout the area from April 11 through May 10.

Orpheus brings to life a wide variety of music designed for male voice choirs. More than just an opportunity for men from varied walks of life to sing great music, Sons of Orpheus has made it a habit of giving back to our community. They have performed benefit concerts for Habitat for Humanity, Primavera Foundation, homicide survivors, Memorial Day and for 22 years, a holiday concert and food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank, which has raised well over $100,000 and several tons of food for needy families in Southern Arizona.

Under the leadership of Founding Director Grayson Hirst, a distinguished Juilliard trained operatic tenor who has performed all over the world, the concerts will feature songs in tribute to the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, a unique rendition of “The Flight of the Bumblebee”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and many other classical, popular and fun pieces. Talented guest university and high school soloists and musicians will amplify this total choral musical experience.
