Renew Your Massage Practice with SenseAbility Mindful Touch Workshop

Massage can be your joy, your work, your therapy and your spiritual practice. If you find that you are “efforting” through a massage, then it’s time for a shift in your approach. The Yoga Connection will host a SenseAbility Mindful Touch Workshop, taught by Pat Baxter, MA, LMT and Jeff Rogers, LMT, from August 4 to 6. Space is limited.

In the class, massage professionals will gain 13 CE hours, as well as: more ability to read bodies, more efficiency in bodywork, working with the whole person rather than just parts, more flexibility/ability to adjust to clients’ needs, valuable insight into how the organism functions, use of movement and gravity in your work for self and client, renewed enthusiasm for your work, lead client in somatic self-discovery to inspire self-help at home, use of SenseAbility in releasing diaphragms and more.

Pat Baxter, MA, LMT, has a master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology, and has been a practicing massage therapist since 1978. In her work she draws from her background in Jin Shin Jyutsu, Cranial Sacral Therapy and the Sensory Awareness work of Charlotte Selver. She is a Sensory Awareness Leader and has been teaching massage since 1980, and the co-founder and teacher of Selver Awareness Leader Training Institute (SALTI) since 2019.

Jeff Rogers, LMT, has been practicing massage since 1991. Since studying Cranial Sacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute in 1992, he has taught at the Desert Institute, the Providence Institute and ASIS, as well as still working as a visiting therapist for intensive programs through the Upledger Institute. He has a private practice at Caritas Center for Health and Wellness.
