Helen has used hypnosis in her private holistic psychiatric practice and hypnosis practice since 2005. An RN since 1975, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (*prescriber of medication) and Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (psychotherapist) since 1995, Helen has observed that no two people are the same. They are different physiologically in how they respond to medication and to nutrients; they have different psycho-social histories; they have different personalities. She adjusts her approach in hypnosis based on the individual's response and goals.

* Helen has closed her private holistic psychiatric practice. This means she is not prescribing medication, nor is she providing psychiatric care. Hess Hypnosis Heals is the practice of professional hypnosis to create beneficial change. Should you need psychiatric medication or care, Helen will refer you to a psychiatric provider. Hypnosis can be used an adjunct to medical and psychiatric care, it does not take the place of medical or psychiatric treatment.
