This circle takes place at 4:30pm P/MST (7:30 EST)

It is time to find the tendrils of Colonized Mind (which includes white, male and human supremacy) within our thoughts, beliefs and actions. Also included is shame, self-loathing, “sin”, time, gender, nature, sexuality, “history”, “race”, and the list goes on. Not doing so continues to inflict systemic and personal harm on our Black, Indigenous and Brown family members, as well as all our non-human kin.

As colonization spread across the planet, land and lives were stolen. The horrifying process has affected the entire world as it has brought many wounds, falsehoods, and lies to our ancestors…and to us. Over the generations, our DNA, Minds, and Souls have absorbed colonized ideas about every aspect of life, including what is real and not, valued or not, and we must actively seek them out and dismantle them in order to achieve the changes we all want to see.

The structure of this circle is as follows: -Quynn opens the sacred circle with a prayer to the ancestors of the land where we are, and a prayer of protection, specifically for all black and brown people. -A reading or recording from a black or indigenous scholar, poet or artist is shared to offer a focus for our inquiry and meditation for healing and justice. -Quynn (or guest) will share a guided meditation based on the particular area of focus for each meeting. -An opprotunity for sharing -Commitment to personal anti-racist actions in the world. -Closing the circle with a prayer for protection for those who are in harms way for peaceful protest, and gratitude for the ancestors who fought, and still fight, for justice.
