Yoga for Strength with Resistance Bands
A novel approach to preserving and increasing strength
Strength loss is a fact of life-unless we do something about it. According to Harvard Health, after age 30 we begin to lose as much as 3%-5% of muscle mass per decade.
To combat this potentially debilitating loss of strength, joining resistance band training and yoga provides an efficient way to fit wellness and health into our busy lives.
This fun and novel practice will be taught in a 90 minute workshop. “Yoga with Resistance Bands: An Introduction”.
The live on Zoom session will be offered September 30, 2021 from 11AM-12:30PM Tucson Arizona time. Note that all participants will receive a recording after the workshop for reference or if unable to attend the zoom live session. Rate is $21.
To register: or call/text 520-870-9287, or email [email protected] for registration link.
The workshop will be guided by Bonnie Golden, M.Ed. long time credentialed yoga teacher, certified Fitness Specialist by National Association of Sports Medicine, and certified Yoga for Healthy Aging Teacher.
She is the author of the recent book “Yoga for Holistic Healing: Poses and Sequences for Pain and Stress Relief”. Anyone interested in becoming efficiently stronger is invited to participate. Simple therabands are the only required props.
Golden will provide an introductory presentation on the “whys” and evidence-based benefits of resistance training. She will then lead a full holistic yoga practice including the strength training element of resistance bands.
