The Eight Limbs of Yoga
This is a four-week course covering the eight limbs of yoga philosophy, based on the Yoga Sutras codified by Patanjalis. The philosophy provides guiding principles leading to a healthier, and more balanced lifestyle for individuals of any spiritual or religious tradition. Key concepts include topics such as non-violence, purity, breathing techniques and meditation. Although the eight limbs include Asanas (poses), these will be touched on philosophically, but not practiced in this course as these can be accessed at various levels in classes offered through The Yoga Connection. Time will be allowed for questions and discussion, and each week will build on previous sessions. Also offered online.
