Caring for Grievers with Confidence

Continuing Education for Health Care Providers

Everyone grieves, it's part of life... but with the added losses experienced with the pandemic, our communities are feeling it even more so!

Loss of health, loss of friends & family members in death, loss of a job, loss of physical contact, loss of socialization, loss of a relationship due to quarantining or working from home, loss of normalcy...the list goes on and on. These are the people coming to our tables right now.

As Massage Therapists and service providers we are trained to alleviate physical pain, but do you feel equipped to handle intense emotional pain? Especially the pain and overwhelming feelings caused by grief and loss? If not, you may feel helpless or incapable of providing what your client needs.

I have worked with grieving clients for over 20 years and have received my certification as an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist with the Grief Recovery Institute. I've combined my knowledge as an experienced Massage Therapist with my grief recovery education and created a detailed curriculum that will provide you with value and confidence as a Therapist. Your clients will feel more secure and nurtured during a vulnerable time.

You will learn:

  • What is GRIEF?
  • How does the stress of grief affect our bodies?
  • What are common coping behaviors?
  • Compassionate client care
  • Recommended treatment guidelines
  • Aromatherapy for grief
  • Therapist self-care

Marketing This class is 2 CEs and is scheduled in Arizona (MST) time. A participation certificate will be provided to Massage Therapists. $60/2 hours

This class is best for Massage Therapists and bodyworkers who are called to work with grieving clients and want to understand the grieving process better and serve this population in a more meaningful way.
