Yoga for Anxiety Class
This yoga class is specifically designed to reduce anxiety symptoms and provide tools to help manage dysregulation.
We will begin with a psychoeducational presentation of what anxiety is and the difference between dysregulating and functional anxiety. (Handouts are included in class fee.) We will continue with a discussion that focuses on the reduction of rajas and cultivation of sattva which are considered part of down-regulating practices and useful when experiencing hyperarousal. A 15-minute yoga sequence will be presented and practiced along with a sequence handout for students to continue to practice on their own.
