Heart of Recovery-Sarpashana
Heart of Recovery-Sarpashana: a peer led mutual support group serving all people in addiction recovery of any kind (alcohol, drugs, gambling or other addictive tendencies).

Heart of Recovery-Sarpashana: Thursdays, 6-7:30 PM
We serve all people interested in practicing meditation together, listening to short readings selected from Buddhist authors and open sharing. We offer a safe space to all who wish to join us in relating their paths of recovery with developing or deepening a practice of meditation and mindfulness. This meeting has been continually running since 2002 in Tucson and has helped support many people in their recovery, though we do not specifically offer a program ourselves. You are most welcome to join us whether you are in recovery or not. Please arrive a few minutes early.
Our format consists of a short reading, a 20 minute silent meditation sit, about 45 minutes of open sharing, a 5-minute closing meditation and a short chant to close. We request your mindful assistance in maintaining the meditation room fragrance and cell phone free. We request a $5 donation, or other amount that fits, to help support the Tucson Community Meditation Center, but no one will be turned away.
