The Peace Pole Project is a global movement spreading the universal message “May Peace Prevail on Earth™.” With more than 250,000 Peace Poles in 180 countries all over the world, its purpose is to promote multicultural understanding, conflict resolution and world peace consciousness.

The Rotary Club of Oro Valley gifted a Peace Pole to all people in Oro Valley with its message of peace in English, Mandarin, Spanish and Tohono O'odham. A hand-crafted 8 foot high pole carved out of Western Red Cedar, the Peace Pole was planted at Steam Pump Ranch next to the large velvet mesquite tree on the main lawn ─ one of four trees gifted to the Town by the Rotary Club of Oro Valley members.

The dedication ceremony of the Peace Pole by the Rotary Club, Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield and the Town Council will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 AM during the Heirloom Farmers Market at Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N Oracle Rd, Oro Valley, AZ 85737. All are welcome!
