SaludArte 2026 Humans Being Well Exhibit Opening

As part of the 2026 SaludArte initiative, the Humans Being Well Exhibit launches at the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in the Spirit Building.

As part of the 2026 SaludArte initiative, the Humans Being Well Exhibit launches at the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in the Spirit Building. It brings together three local artists and a community member cohort to share a message of hope, heart, and healing. SaludArte, now in its third iteration…seeks to explore and elevate protective factors that support overall wellness and destigmatize substance misuse, aiming to bring humanity to this ongoing social crisis. The Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona and the Pima County Public Health Department joined forces to bring this intersection of arts and health to fruition.

The artist team—Chezale Rodriguez and Wade Antonio Colwell of ChezSpirit and Nicci Radhe of Celesteal Photography & Horny Toad Horticulture —will curate an interactive exhibit inspired by three unique engagements that took place during July and August 2026 that included horticulture, creative connection and dance movement. The exhibit will feature art-making, photography, videography, mindfulness, soundscape and plant nature. Visitors will participate, learn more about the project and understand the value of reframing stigma, renaming substance and reclaiming resilience as it reminds us of our human capacity to be well.

The Humans Being Well Exhibit Opening Reception is Saturday, October 17th, 3 to 5pm and runs October 19th to December 19th, 2026.
