Learn About Health Benefits of Whole, Plant-Based Food

Four nationally recognized experts in whole-food, plantbased nutrition will appear at Your Health, Your Planet, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., September 21, at the Fox Theatre, in downtown Tucson. The daylong event is sponsored by the nonprofit Healthy You Network, which educates residents of southern Arizona about the benefits of a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

J. Morris Hicks, author of Healthy Eating, Healthy World; Michael Greger, M.D., who posts his latest nutrition research findings on NutritionFacts.org; Rich Roll, endurance athlete and author of Finding Ultra; and Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, author of The 30-Day Vegan Challenge, Color Me Vegan, and The Vegan Table, will present information about how best to improve individual health and to reduce the epidemic of chronic diseases crippling the U.S. and other developed countries. They also will discuss the profound effects food choices have on the sustainability of the planet.
