Natural Awakenings Tucson

Advisory Board Formed to Guide Body & Sol Expo

Aug 29, 2013 12:37PM

The Body & Sol Women’s Expo, to be held for March 8 and 9, 2014, at the Tucson Convention Center, and Holly Baker, owner and publisher of Tucson’s Natural Awakenings magazine have united to produce a world-class expo for everyone. Baker and Barbara Peters set out to gain the support of sponsors and initiated community action to enlist the help, energy, guidance and talents of their team, the Body and Sol Advisory Board. With a focus on artists and health and fitness practitioners, exhibitors and sponsors, the organizers are currently seeking more participants in all these areas.

The Expo will feature live music, a local fashion show, a health and fitness stage for topics such as Zumba, boot camps and a kitchen stage that will host cooking demonstrations with samples for the audience.

The lineup of speakers so far includes a keynote address by Paul Boynton, author of the book, Begin With Yes; Ann Marie Chiasson, M.D., from the faculty for integrative medicine at the University of Arizona and the author of Energy Healing: The Essentials of Self Care; Susie Cox, author of four books and a monthly astrology column, What’s Your Sign? for well-known designer Tory Burch; and Becky Aikman, the author of Saturday Night Widows: The Adventures of Six Friends Remaking Their Lives.

Contact co-founders Holly Baker and Barbara Peters at 520-468-8005 (sponsors), 520-760-2378 (exhibitors), or or Body and Sol Productions on Facebook. Interest is building quickly.
