Natural Awakenings Tucson

Healthy Happy Hour at Urban Retreat Center

Sep 29, 2013 06:04PM

The Urban Retreat Center will hold a Healthy Happy Hour, sponsored by Natural Awakenings magazine, from 5 to 7 p.m., October 23 and the last Friday of every month as a friendly place for complete mind-body training, with “chill” music and good conversation with other healthy minded people. Chinese tea and finger snackies will be served. All are welcome from any discipline.

Natural Awakenings Publisher Holly Baker will be available to talk about marketing opportunities for business owners including the upcoming Body and Sol Women’s Expo in March 2014.

The complete mind-body curriculum at the Urban Retreat Center consists of a blend of three broad modules of inquiry: meditation—still and moving, seated and standing, deep and subtle breathwork; bodywork—Taoist yoga, posture, joint alignment, core strength training, range of motion; and Chinese esoteric practice— partner training, i liq chuan, neigong and qigong.

Location: 2523 E. 6th St., behind Rincon Market. Limited to 30 participants. RSVP required. Urban-Retreat.org. For more information, call Sifu Kelley Graham at 520-770-1200. Contact Baker at 520-760-2378 or [email protected].
