Kadampa Head to Speak in Tucson

The National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition, Gen Kelsang Rigpa, will be making his first visit ever to Tucson and will give a public talk, Living Lightly, for anyone interested in learning how we can learn to enjoy a healthy, balanced state of mind, even in the midst of our busy, modern lives, from 4 to 5: 30 p.m., February 2 , at the Tucson YWCA. Attendees will learn how to overcome stress, anxiety and frustration through meditation and mindful living.

Sponsored by Kadampa Meditation Center Arizona, the talk is based on the acclaimed book, Modern Buddhism, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and Rigpa will explain both how our experience of happiness and our well-being are closely related to our state of mind. With simple daily meditations, we can experience a sense of inner peace and well-being, reduce stress, boost our energy, and improve our health.
