Gentle Chair and Floor Yoga Sessions

Lynne Wolf, a certified yoga teacher at Yoga with Heart, is offering chair and floor yoga classes on Mondays. This therapeutic approach applies gentle stretches, personal attention and modified postures defined by individual needs.

Wolf says, “Balance is an issue for many people. Over time, we become more unsteady, but we can improve that with practice. Improved balance keeps us steady on our feet and reduces the risk of falls. We stand straighter and in time, our posture improves with practice. Yoga and stretching improve our awareness of our bodies and our minds.”

Breathing exercises help to stretch the lungs to increase capacity and bring more oxygen into the body. As the body becomes more oxygenated, students feel calmer and the internal organs benefit from the increase in oxygen.

Wolf has been teaching for 11 years, with 15 years of yoga practice. She specializes in working with people with disabilities or injuries and also with seniors.
