Madaras Gallery, with a mantra of “Color and Joy,” has become synonymous with is a Tucson showplace, with the most extensive collection of southwest paintings and prints in Southern Arizona. The 3,000-square-foot Gallery Row location hosts an Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays, where customers can enjoy refreshments while perusing the beautiful art.

Patrons can also find a variety of Southwestern gifts, including note cards, calendars, glass cutting boards, carved gourds and bronze sculpture. During the holidays, Madaras Gallery adds a popular Christmas store to its repertoire, with hard-to-find Southwestern ornaments and holiday cards, as well as home décor.

Artist Diana Madaras’ recently published coffee table book, Private    Spaces, is now on display—a lifetime achievement that includes 152 beautifully reproduced paintings, as well as the story of her journey on the way to becoming one of the most well-known and influential artists in the Southwest. The book is available in hardcover and a handful of collector’s editions can still be purchased.
