Arizona Integrative Wellness Coalition Spring Events
The Arizona Integrative Wellness Coalition (AIWC), the Tucson-based networking and educational organization that is dedicated to expanding public awareness of integrative medicine, offers events on the fourth Tuesday of each month that feature a variety of speakers to educate and enhance health awareness within our community.
Dr. June Stevens, of the Naturopathic Heart Institute of Tucson, will be speaking on February 24 at the Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation, 3182 North Swan. Mary Koithan, Ph.D., RN, will discuss how integrative medicine can help to manage symptoms and issues that arise with cancer care on March 24 at the YWCA at 525 Bonita Avenue. These events help to both educate our community in the medical benefits of alternative and integrative medicine and also to bring us together to help build our community.
Integrative practitioners and utilizers of integrative health services are often isolated from major support centers such as hospitals and university medical schools utilized by mainstream medicine. AIWC is one of the only hubs where people passionate about true healing can gather to learn and support each other.
