Natural Awakenings Tucson

Habitat for Humanity Tucson’s HabiStore

Apr 01, 2016 04:41PM

The HabiStore is Habitat for Humanity Tucson’s nonprofit home improvement store, recycling hub and donation center that directly benefits home building and repair efforts in Tucson, Marana, Green Valley, Sahuarita and Amado.

“We’re able to take quality donated goods and sell them at a discounted price to remodelers, artists and thrifters,” says Habitat Tucson CEO, T. VanHook. “And we’re helping keep more than 250 tons of usable materials out of landfills every year.”

This past February marked the store’s grand reopening after it underwent an extensive remodel to increase retail space and improve efficiency. The store will continue to serve the community while keeping more quality items from ending up in the trash.

When spring cleaning this season, Tucsonans should consider donating their unwanted goods to the HabiStore.
