Natural Awakenings Tucson

Big Green Event

Hayes Construction and Marana Chamber of Commerce will host the second annual Big Green Event, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov-ember 3, at Crossroads Park, in Marana. Organizers are currently seeking green businesses and organizations to participate, as well as local residents interested in all things green. The event will feature the latest green building/recycling programs, alternative vehicles, heart-based businesses, environmental organizations, money-saving ideas and more.

Attendees can expect to have fun, win prizes, be entertained and enjoy getting to know the many outstanding resources and innovative businesses working in our region to help our home planet. “We are calling all businesses with green hearts in the greater Tucson region—innovative products/processes, educational programs, natural healing, green technology and building, eco-tourism, green and local artisans and organizations, government programs and others,” says Suzie Hayes, co-chair of the Big Green Event.

“Our region is primed for leading our state, nation and world in green living. We are starting by getting to know our neighbors and all the innovative green technology in our corner of the world,” says Hayes. “It is a fun-filled, educational family trip to discover what green is all about. It can only grow from here if we tend to it carefully.”

Community investor and exhibitor opportunities are available, and those interested can call for more information.
