Small Rock Shop Expands into a 5,000-Square-Foot East Side Gallery

Arizona Lapidary & Gem Rough, Inc. will host a grand opening celebration from June 6 to 11. Each day will feature a different aspect of the gem and mineral industry with speakers, activities, local artists, prizes and presentations. The first 22 customers of the day will receive a prize with purchase. Children are welcome.

A schedule of the week’s themes is as follows: June 6, Geology & Lapidary; June 7, Prospecting; June 8, Metaphysical Arts; June 9, Gemstone Art & Jewelry Making; June 10, Mineral Collecting; June 11, Children’s Day.

University of Arizona graduate Dr. Linus Keating, an exploration geologist, transformed his “hobby-run-a-muck” into Arizona Lapidary & Gem Rough, an iconic destination for collectors, artists, energy practitioners, interior designers and tourists. The showroom features gemstone art, jewelry, metaphysical products and services, lapidary rough, mineral specimens, crystals and interior design pieces.
