Natural Awakenings Tucson

New Menu Items at Claire’s Cafe

hidden jewel in Catalina, Claire’s Cafe is a hub for locals, a destination location for Tucsonans and a drop-in roadside café for folks heading toward the lakes and back from vacation. The café’s new menu includes ethnic Jewish food items from Claire’s heritage, including scrambled eggs, lox and sautéed onions with bagel and cream cheese, fresh cheese blintzes, matzo brei, potato latkes and fresh-made corn beef hash.

The café caters to special dietary requests—paleo, gluten-free and dairy-free. The home-style cooking uses 90 percent organic ingredients and local produce when available.

Nationally known artists display their work here, including Native American art, one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry, unique scratchboard art, spectacular photography, beautiful oil paintings and handmade purses/leather work.

Claire’s Café offers free Thanksgiving dinner the day before Thanksgiving, and has done so for 28 years—with as many as 600 walk-ins in past years. A separate area for meetings and parties is available, with individualized catering menus.

Location: 16140 N. Oracle Rd., Catalina. For more information, call 520-825-2525, email [email protected] or visit ClairesCafe.net. See ad, page 5.
