The Practice of Mindful Massage

Mindfulness is the practice of ongoing present moment awareness. A mindful massage addresses the tension in the body while bringing the mind home. Our bodies provide an excellent opportunity to learn presence and centering. Mastering this art on the massage table can provide us with an invaluable tool to use throughout our life. Often the mind is a million miles away from where we are, but it’s possible to learn how to use our body awareness to promote well-being and sustained relaxation.
Carol Daniel has been a massage therapist since 1985 and has practiced meditation for many years. By combining massage with mindfulness in my her life, she has been able to harness her chattering mind.
