Posipalooza: A Night of Positive Music and Fun

Karen Drucker, Daniel Nahmod and Sue Riley

The Center for Spiritual Living Tucson and Unity Spiritual Center of Peace will sponsor the emPower Music & Arts PosiPalooza, an evening of empowering, positive music and free CD giveaways from Sue Riley, Daniel Nahmod and Karen Drucker, at 7 p.m., November 15, at the Donald R. Nickerson Performing Arts Center.

Riley, the vice president of emPower Music & Arts, believes in the power of music to touch hearts and heal lives. As one of the leaders in the genre of “Posi” (positive) music, Riley tours the country performing in the PosiPalooza concerts along with great artists such as Karen Drucker, Harold Payne, Faith Rivers, Daniel Nahmod, Tom Kimmel, David Roth and many others. A prolific singer-songwriter, Riley has created eight CDs of original, award-winning, uplifting music. Her newest CD, Ready to Receive was produced by Nahmod and released this June.

Nahmod, a California-based singer-songwriter, producer and humanitarian, has performed his profound, heart-opening original music for over one million people in 45 U.S. states and Canada, and sold 100,000 CDs since beginning his music career in 1999. Nahmod’s poetic and evocative message of peace, love and compassion across all nations, cultures and faiths has found overwhelming acceptance wherever he has performed. He has been a keynote musical presenter at benefits for such organizations as Habitat For Humanity, Operation USA, Achievable and Anti-Defamation League.

Drucker has recorded 16 CDs of her original, inspirational music, and is the author of Let Go of the Shore: Stories and Songs That Set the Spirit Free. She has been a singing mermaid, a singing casket and was literally “elevator music” when she was hired to sing and play piano in a moving elevator. She has been a professional comedienne, led her own band for corporate events, and has been the music director of New Thought Churches, as well as many spiritual conferences and retreats. Drucker has been honored with an Honorary Doctorate of Music for her work within the religious science community, and a Grace Note award for her work within the Unity Movement.

EmPower Music & Arts is dedicated to “Changing the World, One Song at a Time”. EmPower hosts the yearly “emPower Posi Awards” in Florida, recognizing excellence in songwriting for artists who create songs with messages of peace, interfaith and joyous living. The PosiPalooza festival is now in its 11th year.
