What’s your book about?
How It All Began, the first book in the feline adventure series The Adventures of Carly and Charly, chronicles the life of two shelter cats as they first are cared for at the Humane Society. They then move on to foster care, and finally reach the promised land of adoption. Along the way, they experience new sights and sounds, toys and sunbeams. As they emerge into the world, Carly and Charly discover that they indeed can take on any challenge as long as they have each other.
Why did you write this book?
This first book in The Adventures of Carly and Charly series provides a window into what cats are thinking—and we’d all be better off if we knew what cats were thinking.
What was your mission with the book?
The goal was to inspire kids to live active and healthy lives. If cats can do it, kids can do it. In this series, Carly and Charly seek out new and exciting feline adventures, breaking new ground with everything they try.
Tell us a little about yourself.
Carly is a domestic short hair and Charly is a domestic long hair cat breed. Both have crystal clear green eyes that are very soothing to look into. They have very powerful purr motors that are employed quite frequently while being brushed.
