Vibration: What Is It and Why Raise It?

May 31, 2022 09:00AM ● By Trish Devitt
Our vibration is the most significant influence on our health and happiness, as well as that of the collective whole.

Everything in the universe consists of energy vibrating at different frequencies. We are constantly radiating vibrations from our thoughts, words, feelings and actions—even our cells and organs. Everything we think, say and do affects others as well as ourselves—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

According to the HeartMath Institute, the heart’s magnetic field is the strongest field produced by the human body. An important carrier of information, it envelops every cell of the body and extends out in all directions.

When we talk about raising our vibration, we really mean raising our level of consciousness. Our thoughts are so powerful that they can affect ourphysical reality, including our health. The frequency we transmit is what we attract in return via resonance. Einstein has been quoted as saying, “The brain is a transmitter and a receiver of frequency and affects physical matter.” Dr. Masaru Emoto’s experiments proved that directed thoughts can alter the properties of water.

Our vibration also contributes to the collective whole. Studies, such as the Maharishi Effect, have found that as little as 1 percent of a population can effect a positive change in the community. Consider the impact we can have on the world—positive or negative, conscious or unconscious.

When we raise our vibration, we shift and reshape our reality, and induce positive changes in the collective whole. According to Dr. David R. Hawkins, the higher our level of consciousness, the more power we have to offset negativity in the world. For example, one individual vibrating at the frequency of Love counterbalances 750,000 individuals with lower consciousness levels.

Raising our vibration requires awareness and choice. We think 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts each day. Yet 90 percent of those are the same as the day before. Through conscious focus and intent, we can change our thoughts (our vibration), which in turn changes our reality.

One helpful approach is to become an impartial observer of our thoughts, actions and reactions. It is important to observe without judgement. Once we observe our thoughts, we can then make a conscious decision to choose a different thought. If that feels difficult, start with asking the question, “What different thought could be possible?” In time, we will come up with a more positive thought.

When we feel positive feelings such as gratitude and compassion, they are transmitted into the collective. Simply witnessing a positive action produces a vibration and induces others to do more positive actions.

By consciously changing our thoughts, we can raise our vibration and manifest positive change in our own lives and in the collective, thus contributing toward a more positive world.
