Maximize Health Through Chiropractic

The body has an amazing, innate ability to heal. There are many sayings in chiropractic that help convey this underlying principle: healing is an inside job, above—downinsideout, your nervous system controls how you heal and function, and the nervous system controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body.

Have you ever had a paper cut? Did you do anything to make that heal, or did it just heal on its own? Have you ever broken a bone? Other than stabilizing the area, did you do anything specifically to make that heal? You have personal experience that the body knows what to do to heal.

When the nervous system is able to communicate to and receive information from the rest of the body, you have your best chance to achieve optimum health and well-being. Yes, there are external actions that you can take for yourself, such as proper nutrition and movement (exercise).

But, it is the inborn intelligence of the body that directs healing activities. Chiropractic aims to maximize your health by removing interference to nervous system communication, improving your ability to heal and helping you reach your optimum levels of function and well-being.
