Earth Gong Bath with Danielle Dvořák

Twice a month, the Galactic Center offers the chance to get bathed in sound and vibration by a large Paiste Earth Gong, tuned to the healing frequencies of our Mother Planet, Gaia. This beautiful and effective, non-invasive means of healing helps participants create their own intention for what they would like to experience, opening to endless possibilities for transformation.
This is a great opportunity to meditate, contemplate, or just relax, receive and release. Most people lay on the floor, but attendees may also prefer to sit, do yoga or assume their favorite meditative pose. Sound, and its accompanying vibrations, clear our energy field, serve as natural pain killers and can facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual transformation. Sound and vibration have been scientifically proven through a number of studies to be effective in treating many conditions including depression, cancer, stress, insomnia, ADHD and more.
During our waking state, the typical frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta (or Gamma). Beta state is the busy mind that Buddhists refer to as the “Monkey Mind”, because it jumps around like an untrained monkey. Sound tools, such as gongs, Tibetan Singing Bowls and others, entrain the brain to move into the deeper Alpha, and sometimes Theta, states. These are the frequencies that induce a calm clarity of mind, encourage intuition and allow for deep meditative and peaceful states.
When the brain moves into Alpha state, it triggers a para-sympathetic dominance in the nervous system. When the para-sympathetic becomes dominant over the sympathetic nervous system, our blood pressure goes down, the heart rate slows and blood circulation focuses more into the viscera and less to the extremities. This nervous system response is profoundly stress-relieving, making us an ideal “environment” for the body to cure itself, therefore positively treating almost any disease, imbalance or illness.
